The jv and varsity volleyball teams swept Clinton Prairie Thursday evening to kick off Homecoming celebrations. Both teams played fast and scrappy, leading to countless long rallies. For the JV, Jaylyn Stewart had 17 assists and 10 digs. Noemi Sandoval had 10 digs, Rayann Perkins had 6 kills, and Avery Loveless had 7 digs with 2 aces. Julianna Machora had 6 kills, Jessica Uitts had 3 kills and 3 aces, Ella Campbell had 7 digs. Charlie Minor had 2 kills and several blocks. In the varsity match, Lily Rockhold led in kills with 26 kills to boost Grace Myers to 36 assists. Chloe Moudy had 9 kills, and Lorelei Baetz had 5 kills. Brenly Brown and Emely Gil Guijosa had 13 digs each, and Caroline Queen had 10 digs. Every team member contributed positively, keeping the noise and energy high. The girls travel to North Putnam on Saturday morning for another MAC match.
