Peru Volleyball Invite

The volleyball team opened their season, going 3-1 at the Peru Invite on Saturday. The team started the day off in pool play beating Huntington North and losing to the eventual tournament champion, Hamilton Heights. In cross pool action, the girls beat Blackford and Peru in straight sets. Jalen Smith had 46 assists and 10 kills and led the team in aces and blocks. Lily Rockhold had 25 kills and five aces. The team had a strong defensive day led by Morgan Harrington with 18 digs and Caroline Queen with 17 digs. Ella McAtee had a strong day all around with seven kills and 12 digs. The team looks forward to hosting county rival Rossville in Case Arena on Tuesday evening.
