The Frankfort volleyball team traveled to North Montgomery this evening, and both the JV and the varsity defeated the Chargers. For the JV, Grace Myers got the team off to a strong start again and ended the evening with four aces and 10 assists. Morgan Berry had four digs, Khloe Kingma had four kills, and Erin Wills had three aces. Kynlee Myers and Maddi Shoemaker each had three kills. Bella Vega also picked up four digs for the team. The JV is now 3-0. In varsity action, a rocky serving evening led to a long, four game match. Jalen Smith had a strong all around night with 28 assists, four aces, and 11 digs. Lily Rockhold had 15 kills, Justine Thomas had nine kills, and Chloe Moudy had five kills. Caroline Queen led the defense with 18 digs while Ashley Zheng picked up 13 digs, and Morgan Harrington picked up 10 digs. Arguably two of the biggest plays of the match, though, came from Addy Keck and Daizy Santos Valdez. Daizy got the team going with an ace at a crucial moment and picked up three digs in game four. The team was down 23 to 24 in game four when Addy Keck put away an overpass, securing the momentum for the remainder of the match. The varsity is now 6-1 and hosts Delphi at home on Thursday for Teacher Appreciation Night. A big thank you for the loud support from our fans tonight!!
