By Richard Sallee | Oct 9, 2024 7:28 AM

It was senior night in Case Arena tonight as everyone packed in to see another exciting match between our lady Hot Dogs and the Athenians of Crawfordsville. With a 3-1 victory, the team met several of their goals for the season, including to place in the top half of the conference. With this win, the girls secured 4th place in the SAC and have now officially won as many matches as they lost last season, standing at 19-8. Seniors, thank you for being a solid foundation for the program since your days at Green Meadows. You all bring something unique to the group, and we would not be the same without each of you. Stats for the night, starting with your seniors: Justine Thomas - 14 digs and 9 kills Ashley Zheng - 7 digs and 12/12 serving Morgan Harrington - 18/18 serving with 2 aces and 8 digs Daizy Santos Valdez - 2 solo blocks and 3 digs Ella McAtee - out with injury Jalen Smith - 36 assists, 4 kills, 2 solo blocks Addy Keck - 1 solo block, 4 digs Caroline Queen - 24 digs, 5 aces Lily Rockhold - 26 kills, 3 blocks, 6 digs Chloe Moudy - 2 kills, 1 block Grace Myers - 1 ace and 1 dig The JV fell short of victory this evening, coming out flat and never fully recovering. The team has one match to go on Thursday at Danville. The team also dressed in pink this evening in order to celebrate everyone who has battled breast cancer. The team hopes to procure donations for the Stacy Baugh Legacy Scholarship with their Pink Out theme. Stacy was a beloved science teacher at FHS for several decades until she lost her battle with breast cancer in 2014.
