The Lady Hot Dogs JV and Varsity teams traveled to Sharpsville yesterday evening for a matchup with the Trojans from Tri-Central. In the Varsity game, even with the score 50-12, we played extremely hard, playing some of the best defense we have played all season,. Finja Schnurr, Briana Flores, Kynlee Myers, and Erin Wills battled underneath against their post players, blocking out well, and attacking the glass. Out front, Gracie Layton and Given West created multiple steals and cut off driving lanes. Ella McAtee was playing through a knee injury. We were led in scoring by Kynlee Myers with 9 and Ava Jarman with 3. The Lady Hot Dogs Varsity will play again on Monday, December 23rd when we host Danville. The JV Hot Dogs picked up their 5th win of the season with a 26-24 victory. We jumped out to an 8 point advantage in the second half after playing a really nice 1st half. When Tri-Central made it a 4 point game, we had some timely buckets and some really nice defensive stops. We were led in scoring by Serenity Ragan with 8 points, Briana Flores with 4, and Ava Jarman with 4. The JV will play again on December 23rd vs. Danville. Let's go Hot Dogs!
