The volleyball came away from a long bus ride to Southmont with two victories last night. The JV won 2-0, playing with refreshed confidence and energy. Izzy Edgar led the offense with 6 kills and 2 aces. Sadie Sheets had 8 digs and 2 aces, and Noemi Sandoval had 10 assists. Bella Vega had 4 kills and Maylie Perez had 2 aces. Charlie Minor had a kill, and Hadley Shaffer had 2 kills and 2 aces. Jaylyn Stewart had 6 digs, Maddi Shoemaker had 4 digs, and Morgan Berry had 3 digs with 2 aces. For the varsity, Jalen Smith had 34 assists, 7 kills, and 6 aces. Lily Rockhold had 14 kills, and Adelaide Keck had a personal best of 6 blocks. Caroline Queen had a remarkable defensive night with 26 digs along with her 9 kills and 4 aces. Chloe Moudy had 9 kills and 3 blocks, and Sophie Michael had 6 kills. Grace Myers had 21 digs and an ace, Morgan Berry had 2 aces and 3 digs, Maddi Shoemaker had 2 digs, and Sadie Sheets had an ace and 4 digs. The team travels to North Montgomery on Tuesday.
